Jim has been guiding rafts since 2007 and was a canoe guide for years before that time. He also holds a Bachelor of Tourism Management from Thompson Rivers University and is a Swiftwater Rescue Specialist with Rescue Canada. When he’s not rafting, Jim can be found rock climbing, snowboarding, operating snowcats and waiting for rafting season. As the owner and lead guide of Stellar Descents, Jim would like to invite you to experience the rivers of the Robson Valley with us.
Nelson is a very adventurous guy always trying to push his limits in different activities like kayaking, biking, and skiing. Having being born and raised on Shuswap lake Nelson has been playing in the river nearby from a young age. Currently studying at Thompson Rivers University in the Bachelor of Tourism management. His true passion is the study of trivia though, so if you know any fun facts about trivia he would be happy to hear them.
Ben fell in love with rafting way back in 2011. After that first trip he made a vow to go rafting every year until he died. Many years and trips later he decided to take the plunge and actually become a guide! With Swiftwater Rescue and Wilderness First Aid both in hand he joined the Stellar Descents team. Ben is absolutely thrilled to be living his dream and sharing his passion for the river.
Justin grew up in Ontario, camping, hiking and canoeing all summer long on the beautiful lakes of Northern Ontario. Upon completing high school he moved to Western Canada to teach skiing and explore the mountains. Since then he has travelled and worked all over the globe in the Adventure Tourism Industry. Justin graduated from the Adventure Guide Diploma program at Thompson Rivers University where he learnt to Raft Guide and instruct kayaking . Justin holds his Swiftwater Rescue Specialist certification from Rescue Canada. When Justin is not on the river he is in the mountains rock climbing, hiking, or skiing.

British Columbia River Outfitters Association Guide License
Rescue Canada Swiftwater Safety Rescue Technician (SRT 3) or Specialist (SRS)
